Vaughn’s Comeback Effort Falls Short Against Albany Pharmacy
Vaughn College Phoenix Fall Short to Albany College of Pharmacy, 83-73
Albany, NY – The Vaughn College Phoenix faced a tough challenge on the road against Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, losing 83-73 on November 24. Despite a strong second-half effort, Vaughn was unable to overcome a dominant first half by Albany, who shot 62% from the field in the opening period.
How It Happened: Vaughn struggled to keep pace with Albany in the first half, as the home team surged to a 52-29 lead at the break. Albany's hot shooting, particularly from beyond the arc, helped them build a comfortable lead. The Phoenix responded after halftime with a much-improved performance, shooting 48% from the field in the second half, but they could not fully close the gap.
Vaughn's offense came alive after the break, cutting the deficit to 10 points, but Albany held steady, maintaining their lead through key contributions from their bench and starters. Despite shooting 77% from the free-throw line, Vaughn's struggles from the field (40%) and three-point range (39%) were pivotal in the loss.

The Phoenix struggled on the boards, collecting just 29 rebounds compared to Albany's 32, and also had 18 turnovers in the loss.
Albany College of Pharmacy shot an impressive 52% from the field (34-of-66) and 35% from three-point range (8-of-23). The home team also capitalized on free throws, hitting 7-of-10 attempts (70%) and controlling the game with their strong first-half performance.
