Pottersville, NY – The Phoenix fell on the road to Word of Life, 94–81, on November 15, 2025, at the Huskies Health & Athletic Center. The Phoenix led at halftime after a strong offensive opening period but were outscored 42–25 in the second half as the Huskies surged late behind balanced scoring and timely perimeter shooting.

Game Overview

Vaughn opened the afternoon with one of its best offensive halves of the season, pushing the pace and attacking the glass to build a 56–52 halftime lead. Nathaniel Edwards and Ivan Alvarez powered the early scoring, combining for 38 first‑half points while the Phoenix shot 44.7% from the field and 50% from three.

Word of Life responded after the break with increased defensive pressure and improved ball movement, capitalizing on Phoenix turnovers to swing momentum. Led by Xander Eason and Dan Morales, the Huskies strung together multiple scoring runs while holding Vaughn to just 23.1% shooting in the second half. Despite strong rebounding and second‑chance efforts, the Phoenix were unable to regain their first‑half rhythm as Word of Life pulled away in the second half.
