Men's Soccer Bounce Back against Webb Institute
On Wednesday, October 5, the men's soccer team picked up there third win of the season against Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) opponent Webb Institute. The Warriors are battling for one of four playoff spots in the HVIAC. The win improves the Warriors record to 3-2 in the HVIAC.
The Warriors found the back of the net 12 times against Webb Institute, their highest scoring output this season. Denis Moshchenko (Brooklyn, NY) led the way for Vaughn College scoring a season high five goals. Warriors' top defender Jaleel Johnson (Brooklyn, NY) chipped in two uncanny goals in the HVIAC contest. Ahkeem Bailey (Brooklyn, NY) recorded a career high four assists setting mutiple teammates up for scoring opportunites.
Hussein Saleh (Maspeth, NY) and Cristhian Quiroga (Jackson Heights, NY) both split time defending the goal for the Warriors. Both goalkeepers conceded one goal apiece.
The men's soccer team will return to the field on Friday, October 7, against non-conference opponent New School. The Warriors will be the visiting team at Randall's Island on field 90. The match is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m.
