Warriors Run out of time against Kings College
On Wednesday, October 12, the men's soccer team hosted Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) opponent Kings College. The Warriors entered the game coming off poor performances over Columbus Day weekend losing to New School, Cooper Union and Pratt Institute. The Lions of Kings College went up 2-0 in the game before the Warriors mounted a comeback. Unfortunately, the Warriors ran out of time, losing to the Lions by a final score of 2-1.
Elias Dimitropoulos (Huntington, NY) scored the lone goal for the Warriors. Dimitropoulos has played multiple positions for the men's soccer team this season. He has been one of the Warriors' more consitant players this season on defense and in the midflied.
The loss drops the Warriors record to 3-3 in the HVIAC and 3-6 overall. The Warriors will take on Culinary Institute on Saturday, October 15, at Randall's Island. This will be an important game in a tight playoff race in the HVIAC. The Warriors currently stand in sixth place with two gconference ames remaining in the season.
