Men’s Tennis Face Pratt in Season Opener
BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Vaughn College men's tennis team opened up their season on Saturday, April 4, against number one ranked Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) opponent, Pratt Institute. Pratt entered the game unblemished in HVIAC with a perfect 3-0 record, and 4-2 overall. The Warriors entered the game looking to build confidence that they can compete with the best teams in the HVIAC.
Alamine Alami - Binani (Hollis, NY) - and Rashad Luckett (Chicago, IL) were bright lights for the Warriors. Alami-Binani won his number five singles match to score the first point on the season for the Warriors. He teamed up with Luckett in the number three doubles match to secure the second point for the Warriors against top seeded Pratt.
Pratt would go on to defeat the Warriors by a final score of 7-2. The Warriors left the match with their heads held high as this would be the toughest team they will face all season.
