Warriors Downed by St. Joseph’s Bears
QUEENS, N.Y. – The Vaughn College Warriors men's tennis team suffered their fourth loss of the season to the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) Bears on Tuesday, April 14. The two teams meet up at the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Center and played six singles matches and three doubles matches.
The Warriors made the Bears work hard for every point in their doubles matches, but the Bears would go on to sweep the Warriors in doubles play. Ahmed Aly (Astoria, NY) would earn the lone point for the Warriors winning his number five singles match, 10-1, against Bears opponent Carlos Mayorga.
The men's tennis team will be back in action on Saturday, April 18, against Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) opponent, Culinary Institute. The match is scheduled to be played at the USTA Center at 1 p.m.
