Vaughn Bested by Berkeley
QUEENS, N.Y. - The Vaughn College men's tennis squared off against Berkeley College on Thursday, April 14, at the United States Tennis Association (USTA) center. The Warriors competed valiantly but came up short against the Berkeley College Knights.
The Warriors started off slow winning one out of their three doubles flights. They would bounce back during their singles flights. Ahmed Aly (Astoria, NY), Elias Dimitropoulos (Huntington, NY) and Joshua Diaz (Atlanta, GA) all picked up convincing wins in their single matches. Unfortunately that would not be enough for the Warriors to secure a victory over the Knights. Vaughn College would go on to fall Berkeley College 5-4.
The loss drops the Warriors' record to 1-2 in the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC). The men's tennis team will look to bounce back when they take on the SUNY Delhi Broncos on Saturday, April 23.
