Men's Tennis Bounce Back against Webb Institute
QUEENS, N.Y. - The men's tennis team got back in the win column after beating Webb Institute 6-3 on Monday, April 25, at the United States Tennis Association (USTA) center. The Warriors entered the match coming off a 9-0 defeat to non conference opponent, SUNY Delhi over the weekend.
The Warriors got out to an early 3-0 lead after sweeping the Webbies in their doubles matches. That momemtum would carry over to the Warriors singles flights. Sophomore Oluwatobi Oladeji (Nigeria, Africa), all-conference player Ahmed Ali (Astoria, NY) and newcomer Elias Dimitropoulos all picked up wins for the Warriors against their singles opponents.
The 6-3 triumph over the Webbies improves the Warriors record to 1-2 in the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and 2-2 overall. The Warriors will face the St. Joseph's College (BKYLN) Bears in their final match of the regular season.
