Lady Warriors lose big to Pratt Institute

The Vaughn College women's basketball team suffered their third loss in a row to Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) opponent Pratt Institute on Thursday, January 18. The Lady Warriors competed with six players against the Cannoneers. The women's basketball started off the game slow and fell behind big early in the first half. The Lady Warriors played better basketball in the second half but unfortunatley the game was out of reach. 

Senior captain Maia Rivers (Dix Hills, NY) recorded her seventh double-double of the season in the loss. Rivers scored 19 points and gabbed 10 rebounds. Marceisha Howard (Fort Worth, TX) added nine points and seven rebounds. 

The loss drops the Lady Warriors' record in the HVIAC to 0-2. Their next conference opponent will be against the New Rochelle Blue Angels on Tuesday, January 23.
