Fall Season Concludes at USTA
The Vaughn College tennis program wrapped up its fall season at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center this month, closing a stretch of training and competition that showcased strong growth from both new and returning players.
Tennis continues to be one of the College's most popular recreation and athletic programs — welcoming students of all talent levels. Some student-athletes picked up a racket for the very first time this fall and have already shown significant improvement. Others with more experience have stepped into competitive roles, representing Vaughn in collegiate matches.
Despite the loss to Webb Institute earlier in the semester, Head Coach Joseph Swierczewski remains excited about what lies ahead for the program.
"We have a strong incoming class of freshmen and returning players. I'm confident we can build on what we started this fall and be ready to compete this spring," said Coach Swierczewski.
Registration for spring tennis will open in February, with training and intercollegiate play scheduled to resume the first week of March 2026.
Students interested in joining the spring roster or learning more about the program are encouraged to reach out to Coach Swierczewski directly at joseph.swierczewski@vaughn.edu.
