TULLY, N.Y. - The Vaughn College men's soccer team traveled with nine players to compete against the SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) Oaks on Sunday, October 16. The Warriors a have been plagued with a number of injuries throughout the entire season. They have also been playing without their all-conference forward who is set to return next year.
Despite the difficult start, being down two men, the Warriors were able to advance the ball up field and defend at a high level. Unfortunately for the Warriors, they would give up two goals late in the first half. The Oaks held a 4-0 lead against the Warriors entering the second half. It was a difficult task for the undermanned Warriors to climb back into the game. They would go on to lose to the Oaks dropping their record to 2-7.
The Warriors have one game remaining in the regular season. They will host Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) opponent Villa Maria on Friday, October21.
